ATTENTION:

Come Join Us At The Best Party Ever!
Friday, June 7: 5pm-7:30pm
The Best Party Ever is Fisler School's version of a school carnival, without the rides.
· Food booths are 4-10 tickets, including for example Korean Bulgogi, Pizza, Mexican food and Carnival Snack food
* Game booths are 1-10 tickets, including for example Ping Pong Toss, Ring Toss, and Minute-To-Win-It Games
· Novelty booths are 3-10 tickets, including for example Exotic Reptile show, Petting Zoo, and Face Painting
* Picnic games are 1 ticket, including egg race, obstacle course, wheelbarrow race
Each booth is sponsored by a grade level, as well as Fisler Foundation, to raise funds for that grade level's laptop and science programs.
Congratulations to Fisler's Teacher of the Year, Ms. Gyurina! Her students and their parents adore her.

NEWS: It was announced today that Robert C. Fisler School has been selected by California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) as one of 2,108 public schools in California to receive the title of 2012 Honor Roll school.

Schools receiving this distinction from the California business community have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.

THANK YOU to our Fisler Families and our PTSA. This year, through the Book Fairs, PTSA and Fisler Families have about 1000 books into our school library. This amounts to about $2,000 for the library. Remember, all proceeds from the Book Fairs go straight to our library and to books for our students.
NEWS: This year, Fisler's successes continue as seen in our 982 API, an 11-point growth from 2011. Part of this success is due to our students' and teachers' dedication to innovation and creativity. As we continue to push the boundaries of innovation, school funds were used to purchase iPad carts for N-Pod, C-Pod, and L-Pod. G-Pod's cart is made available through teacher written grants (Ms. Ellison and Ms. Chiu). These funds are earmarked and can only be used to serve specific purposes. The focus of the iPads is to support English Language Development for our English Learners.

ATTENTION: Partners in Learning:
We know that is is tempting to celebrate big with your child's birthday. However, we need to maintain an academic setting at school. Please note that balloons and flowers are NOT to be delivered to school during a child's birthday or any other commemorating event. They pose a distraction to the student and class instruction, and the office cannot be responsible for holding on to these deliveries. Thank you for your cooperation.
