Results of Laptop Survey

The Fullerton School District practice has been to survey students new to the Laptops for Learning program to validate that at least 90% of the programs’ students are willing to participate in a lease-purchase agreement or to request grant-in-aid to help defray the cost of the laptop. The school can also use local/state/federal funding apart from the District’s unrestricted funds to supplement family contributions. The following are the final 2013 survey results:

* The Board, in its sole discretion, may waive the percentage requirement. ** School will utilize previously purchased, site-owned computers to continue the program. No further supplemental funds or fund-raising will be needed.

Although Nicolas Junior High School and Hermosa Drive Elementary School did not meet the 90% requirement for participation through lease/purchase or grant-in-aid laptops, both will utilize previously purchased, site-owned computers to maintain and continue their program in the selected grade levels. Fisler School will be participating in the laptop program.

Following completion of the surveys, Fullerton School District practice is to publish a summary of the results including the total number of surveys and responses to each of the four questions.
