I am so excited to now be a part of the multiage primary class here at Orangethorpe Elementary School! I have been teaching for thirteen years and I absolutely love it.  My educational background includes earning my Bachelor of Arts and Teaching Credential from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.  I have also served as a Master Teacher, trainer, presenter and speaker.

In the classroom, I believe in meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of the whole child.  Each child should have a classroom experience filled with a multitude of manipulatives, hands-on experiences  and lots of individual choice.  I strive to create meaningful learning experiences for EVERY child.  I understand that children learn in different ways and provide them with a variety of activities to meet the different learning styles.  I am  a life-long leaner who feels it is important to maintain current on research-based educational practices to best support the diverse needs of every child.  

I love teaching and I am so looking forward to a great year!!
